Daily Thanks – 3 of 30

I’ve never had problems falling asleep. I usually knock out within minutes of hitting the pillow, which is unfortunate for my wife because I also snore. 😁
Also, I’ve never had problems getting up early (even on weekends) & always feel refreshed waking up to start each day.  Even when traveling I don’t really experience any jet lag.
So for Day 3, I am thankful not only for having a well regulated body clock, I’m also grateful for the miracles that go on while I sleep: the body removing its fatigue; repairing any damaged cells; and restoring its energy to be able to work hard again the next day, all while being whisked away in my dreams.
Humans can go without food for well over a month, but we can’t function without sleeping for even a few days. Yet even if we are sleep deprived, all it takes is a few hours to feel completely recharged again.  Let’s all be thankful for this amazing body we all have!

Taiheiyo Church

I am a fourth generation American of Japanese descent. My great-grandfather immigrated to Hawaii in 1907, and founded Taiheiyo Church in 1931. My grandfather became the 2nd head minister in 1956, and my father succeeded him as the 3rd head minister in 1981. On November 7, 2015, I was installed as the 4th head minister.
