Daily Thanks – 6 of 30

So far I’ve talked about several workings of the body that are essential to survival, but we were put on this earth to live happily and enjoy all that life has to offer – to thrive, not just survive. Therefore, God the Parent has blessed us with the 5 senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch.
All the things people post on Facebook show that they are enjoying life by watching cool things, eating delicious food, being in the company of friends (which involves hearing their conversations), etc. If any one of the five senses were to become hampered, we would suffer.
Let’s make sure we use our senses to keep bringing happiness into our lives. Let’s see the good in people, not the bad. Let’s hear the laughter, not the complaints. Let’s say how good the food tastes, not how bland. Let’s smell the fresh air and feel energized. And let’s touch to heal, not to hurt.
On this Day 6, I’m so thankful for the sensory receptors we are blessed with – are you?
